Before you start redecorating your kitchen, it’s a good idea to factor in all of your various options. This includes the materials that you are going to use, beyond your flooring choices. One area that can make a real statement in any kitchen is the worktop or counter space that you are using. This could take up a great portion of the visual surface area that visitors notice when they first walk into a room. However, because you will also be using these work surfaces to actually prepare food, you don’t want them to be too ornamental, but also functional. One option that has become more popular in recent years is glass Kitchen Worktops. There are several benefits to choosing over other materials in the kitchen. The first is the appearance. Glass is reflective, meaning that it can pick up light from natural or artificial surfaces, and make your kitchen look bigger overall. Because it is so smooth and sleek, it gives a more polished and modern look to the kitchen as well, making it more sophisticated. Another benefit is that you have so many different design options once you have chosen glass. It is easily cut and moulded to specifications, unlike granite or marble which are available in thicker slabs. Once you have chosen to put in a , you can then decide if you want to use clear glass or colours. Using bright, vibrant coloured glass in conjunction with a stark white or stainless steel, minimalist kitchen, will give a bright and unique look to your home. These colours will not fade over time, unlike other types of materials that you may choose to put within the kitchen. Because you can customize these worktops, your kitchen can be as vibrant or as subdued as you wish, and you can stack or layer your glass for a more unique effect. However, if your kitchen looks great, this will be no use when you want to cook unless you have the confidence that you have chosen a material that can actually withstand a functional kitchen’s daily use. Glass Kitchen Worktops are quite durable, because glass is one of the strongest materials that you can use. It will last for years at a time, with proper care and maintenance. Glass is also more hygienic than other materials, because dirty water or bacteria has no way of seeping into the glass like it might with wood or other porous materials.

Have had two space Kitchens in the last four years i would challenge anybody to get the same quality for a better price with the great customer care just had the last of the units fitted last thursday am so pleased bhm76 at 9th Mar 2010, 05:49PM I also worked for space as “designer” and I can agree with most of what the other rep had to say about the selling part. We were told to lie about certain aspects and did have to be 4 hours at each call. The terms for the hp are shocking and shouldnt even be considered but as a rep I also purchased a kitchen mine should have been 16.000 I paid 3.500, company still made money on it!!!! I love my kitchen and 3 years later everything is still working and looking good, apart from downlights. If you do buy do not take hp go to bank and get a loan, rates are better. Credit card is even better!!! Cash is the best way to do it. Dont pay more than 7,000 you will be able to buy top range for this price and if you dont want to buy one dont have anyone in. some reps can be nasty if you wont buy!!! Reps have to call managers to prove time spent in your home or they wont be paid!!! Reps also recieve more comission if you take hp. product good, sales reps not so if you dont get one with any morals!!!! exsaledesign2 at 9th Jun 2010, 01:03PM.
